The need is greater than ever before. Everyday we have single moms, and victims of abuse,
come to The Advocate Group needing a place to stay with their children. When they come to us they
do not want, or can not be in a shelter. We understand, they do not want to put themselves and the children
though anymore strife They are able to help themselves to a point, but are
breaking the stigma of " can't get out because on dependence on the abuser". We put
them up in extended stay hotels until they are better on their feet, and handed court issues for their protection.
Funds
for this is almost depleted, and it costs about $45.00 a day, 300.00 a week to help just one mom with dependent children. We
need donations to help them. Due to privacy issues and their safety post information on them here, or anywhere for that matter
can not be done.
PLEASE help us help them. The system for help is long, red tape and inefficient for
someone needing to get out of a situation NOW.
Unfortunately that is why many stay in the situation, and the out come of that is never good.
